The BSIT program of PUP Sto. Tomas operates under clearly defined objectives that are aligned with the University's Vision, Mission, Strategic Goals, Institutional Learning Outcomes, and the requirements of CHED Memorandum Order No. 25, s. 2015. The program adopts an Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) framework, ensuring that all learning experiences contribute to the development of competent, innovative, ethical, and globally competitive IT professionals.
Program outcomes are systematically integrated into the curriculum, instructional activities, and assessment processes, providing a clear direction for both faculty and students. This alignment enables the program to consistently produce graduates who possess the knowledge, skills, values, and professional competencies required by the information technology industry.
The BSIT program extension objectives are clearly defined, relevant, and responsive to the needs of the target beneficiaries. The Basic Computer Literacy and Personality Development Project is anchored on the need to improve the computer literacy, productivity skills, professional conduct, and personal development of barangay functionaries. The objectives are aligned with the PUP Extension Agenda, the University's flagship extension program Salin Kaalaman Tungo sa Kaunlaran, the campus extension program TALINO AT KABUHAYAN, and the Sustainable Development Goals. The objectives are also supported by the project's background, rationale, impact statement, years of implementation, and progressive activities from 2022-2024.
The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) research program is guided by a clear Research Policy Statement, Research Vision, Mission, and Objectives. The university aims to become a premier research center contributing to national development through research excellence, innovation, publication, technology transfer, and strategic partnerships. Research agendas are aligned with CHED, DOST, NEDA, NHERA, and Ambisyon 2040 priorities.
