The online design platform Canva is currently experiencing a major outage affecting users worldwide. The disruption began late Monday afternoon (Philippine time), rendering the service inaccessible for creating, saving, and downloading designs.
According to Canva's official status page, multiple features—including login and signup, editing, saving, downloading, sharing, and media uploads—are all marked under “Major Outage.” The company acknowledged the issue at 6:14 p.m. AEDT (3:14 p.m. Philippine time), confirming that its team is “actively investigating the issue and working to restore full access as quickly as possible.”
Subsequent updates at 7:06 p.m., 7:09 p.m., 7:14 p.m., and 7:16 p.m. AEDT indicated that Canva continued to experience "significantly increased error rates" across its platform.
The outage has disrupted workflows for millions of users globally, including educators, marketers, and businesses that rely on Canva for visual content creation. Users have reported being unable to access their projects or log in to the site and mobile app.
As of this writing, Canva's engineering team has not yet provided an estimated time for full restoration. Updates are being posted on Canva's official status page at canvastatus.com
