STO TOMAS, BATANGAS - At the recently concluded Art for a Sustainable Future: Exhibition and Sale of the Dibujo Art Society last June 5-7, 2025, one creative piece stood out and captured the hearts of students and visitors alike: the Hirono-inspired stickers designed by Cheska Shayne Romero.

Romero, then Vice President for External Affairs of the Dibujo Art Society and a BS Electronics Engineering student, took inspiration from the beloved Hirono art style and gave it a uniquely PUP Sto. Tomas twist. Each sticker features the Hirono character clad in the official shirts of the different student organizations on campus — a playful yet unifying symbol of PUPian pride.

Among the designs that drew particular attention was the Computer Society's latest organizational shirt, a design spearheaded by Christine Pineda. Its presence in the sticker lineup emphasized how art can creatively intersect with student identity and campus culture.

The stickers quickly became one of the most talked-about items of the three-day art exhibition and sale, which was held in celebration of World Art Day. The event not only showcased the talents of budding PUPian's artists but also highlighted the role of art in promoting sustainability and solidarity within the university community.

The Hirono series was Romero's way of merging art, identity, and inclusivity. Every student finds belonging in their chosen organization, and the stickers celebrated that diversity while showing that everyone is still part of one PUP Sto. Tomas community.

As the exhibition wrapped up, the Hirono-inspired stickers left a mark far beyond their size. They became symbols of how student creativity can bridge communities, amplify school culture, and sustain the spirit of art at the heart of PUP Sto. Tomas.
