Several educational institutions reported difficulties accessing their websites using the edu.ph domain on Friday, January 24.

Universities like the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, University of the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas, Universidad de Manila, and University of the East (among other schools) issued updates on their social media platforms, informing students and stakeholders about technical issues potentially impacting access to their online services.

These schools assured the public that they are collaborating with the Philippine Network Foundation Inc. (PHNet) to resolve the problem.

The edu.ph domain, widely used by school websites, is managed by the registrar PHNet.

PHNet and the Department of Information and Communications Technology have yet to comment on the issue.
